Type K is used in Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands. The socket looks like a happy little face, which Plugbert believes is no accident in the land of hygge.
Things to know
- Europlugs fit, as do many French/German hybrid plugs (though usually without grounding).
- In recent years Danish rules have also allowed French/German-style sockets, so you may see a mix.
- The half-round ground pin is what makes Type K unique.
