What you give Plugbert

Nothing you can be identified by. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no newsletter. The countries you pick end up in the page address (for example /check/canada/japan), which is how the site knows what to show you.

The label decoder, the plug identifier and the quiz all run in your browser. What you type or tap there is not sent anywhere.

What is stored on your device

• One cookie, plugbert-home. When you pick a home country, Plugbert remembers it for a year so you don't have to choose it again. It holds a country name and nothing else, and it is sent back to the site with your requests like any cookie.
• Your light or dark mode choice, kept in your browser's local storage.

The first time you visit, Plugbert guesses your home country from your browser's language setting. That guess happens in your browser. You can delete the cookie and the stored setting at any time in your browser settings, and the site works fine without them.

Visitor statistics

Plugbert uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you to other sites. It records things like the page you viewed, the page that sent you here, your browser and device type, your country, and how fast the page loaded.

Visitors in the European Union are excluded from these statistics entirely.

Hosting and security

The site is delivered through Cloudflare and runs on a web host. Like every website, both receive your IP address and basic request details (such as the page requested and your browser type) in order to deliver pages and block abuse, and may keep them briefly in security and server logs. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor is not a bot.

Fonts and images are served from plugbert.com itself, not from third-party font or image services.

Embedded widgets

Other sites can embed a Plugbert widget. If you see one, it is loaded from plugbert.com and everything on this page applies to it. The site hosting the widget has its own privacy policy, and Plugbert doesn't control what that site collects.

Links to shops

Some links to adapters may be affiliate links, explained on the disclosure page . Clicking one takes you to the shop's own site, where the shop's privacy policy applies. The shop can tell that you arrived from Plugbert, which is how a commission is credited. Plugbert sends the shop nothing else about you and never learns what you bought or who you are.

Sharing

The share buttons use your device's own share menu or copy a link to your clipboard. Plugbert doesn't see who you share with. Plugbert does not sell, rent or trade visitor data.

If you email Plugbert

Your message and email address are used to reply to you and for nothing else. They are not added to any mailing list.

Changes

If what the site collects ever changes, this page will be updated first and the date at the top will change with it.
