๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ญ Switzerland to ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ PhilippinesYour little chargers will cope. Your chunky ones won't.

Some of your plugs fit the Philippines's sockets directly. Grounded or chunkier ones need help.

What to pack

Plugbert recommends

Type A (US 2-pin) adapter

Some plugs from Switzerland fit the Type A, B and C sockets in the Philippines and some don't, so pack an adapter. A Type A (US 2-pin) adapter fits 2 of the 3 listed socket families there. For grounded devices, get a Type B (US 3-pin) adapter for a compatible grounded outlet instead; it does not fit every listed outlet. Socket variants can differ; check the actual outlet and adapter rating.

For equipment requiring earth, choose a Type B (US 3-pin) adapter for a compatible grounded outlet. Check its supported inputs and rated load. A two-pin output cannot provide an earth connection.

Tip: a "universal" travel adapter may be useful for several destinations. Check its wall-side plugs, grounding and power limits against your trip.

Check the voltage rating
The Philippines uses 220 V and Switzerland uses 230 V, but similar nominal voltages do not guarantee compatibility. Check that your device's input rating covers the destination supply.

The destination may use a different frequency (50 โ†’ 60 Hz). Check your device's input rating for the local frequency; a plug adapter does not change it.
