๐ต๐ฌ Papua New Guinea to ๐จ๐ญ SwitzerlandYou'll need an adapter. Plugbert believes in you.
Switzerland uses 230 V and Papua New Guinea uses 240 V, but similar nominal voltages do not guarantee compatibility. Check that your device's input rating covers the destination supply.
What to pack
Plugbert recommends
Type C (Europlug) adapter
You need a plug adapter. Plugs from Papua New Guinea (Type I) don't fit the Type C and J sockets in Switzerland. A Type C (Europlug) adapter fits the listed socket families there. For grounded devices, get a Type J (Swiss) adapter for a compatible grounded outlet instead; it does not fit every listed outlet. Socket variants can differ; check the actual outlet and adapter rating.
For equipment requiring earth, choose a Type J (Swiss) adapter for a compatible grounded outlet. Check its supported inputs and rated load. A two-pin output cannot provide an earth connection.
Tip: a "universal" travel adapter may be useful for several destinations. Check its wall-side plugs, grounding and power limits against your trip.
