๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ Australia to ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฉ Congo (DR)Adapter required. Your plugs are about to go on an adventure.

The Congo (DR) uses 220 V and Australia uses 230 V, but similar nominal voltages do not guarantee compatibility. Check that your device's input rating covers the destination supply.

What to pack

Plugbert recommends

Type C (Europlug) adapter

You need a plug adapter. Plugs from Australia (Type I) don't fit the Type C, D and E sockets in the Congo (DR). A Type C (Europlug) adapter fits 2 of the 3 listed socket families there. For grounded devices, get a Type D (Indian 3-pin) adapter for a compatible grounded outlet instead; it does not fit every listed outlet. Socket variants can differ; check the actual outlet and adapter rating.

For equipment requiring earth, choose a Type D (Indian 3-pin) adapter for a compatible grounded outlet. Check its supported inputs and rated load. A two-pin output cannot provide an earth connection.

Tip: a "universal" travel adapter may be useful for several destinations. Check its wall-side plugs, grounding and power limits against your trip.
